We are excited to announce that on October 20, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, we will have our first fundraiser at the Lake Houston Brewery in Huffman, Texas.
Omar loved the food and suds at the Lake Houston Brewery, so we thought this would be a fitting tribute. It is also fitting that the family-friendly brewery sits on FM 1960, which is being renamed the Omar Ursin Expressway, from Timberforest to the Liberty County line. Come celebrate the new name, and honor Omar's memory, and contribute to a wonderful cause. All proceeds will go to the scholarship fund. Watch here for more information.
TICKETS TO THE PARTY CAN BE PURCHASED HERE!

We want all of our donors to know that none of the officers or directors take any compensation for their services or any reimbursement for their expenses. Everything is donated, from the legal services used to set up the foundation, to the accounting, even to the website hosting and design (Thank you so much Anthem Content!) 100% of everything donated goes into the scholarship fund, which will be managed by Morgan Stanley, also without charge. Accounting services are graciously provided free of charge by Cassie Grooms, CPA of Spain, Price, Reader & Thompson, P.C. We are grateful for any amount you can donate. All funds will be used for college scholarships for children of fallen officers, either on or off duty. We are passionate about our cause. They had our backs, and for this one thing at least, we have theirs. We look forward to a time when there will no longer be a need for our foundation, but until then, thank you for your generosity.

“Omar has been in my life since I was a young woman, and I feel so blessed to have called him my husband. His parents raised a wonderful man. We miss him every moment and know he is watching over us from heaven. He was the type of person you wanted to know. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and a good time. If you were having a bad day, he would be the first one there telling you to let it go and try to cheer you up. He was always eager to learn and to teach others. He was the only man I knew who could watch someone do something once and master it in one go. His smile could light up a room, and the type of laughter you never forget. I couldn't have asked for a better dad for our daughter. Dads are always the fun ones, by Abigail's standard, he was the best dad ever. He took the time to be Abby's biggest cheerleader and always encouraged her to do her best. He was a motivator for the people he cared about. He pushed people to be better. People say they listen, but most people only hear. Omar was a great listener and always had a solution if you came to him with a problem."
